The national winner of Pet Smile Month 2006 art competition was Milngavie schoolboy Fraser Gentiles, a pupil at Clober Primary School. Fraser’s talent with a brush won the local competition run by the Avalon Vet Clinic in Milngavie. His wonderfully toothy shark was then entered into the national finals where he won his age group category 7-10 years as well as being judged the overall winner of the competition.
Fraser’s wonderful prizes include a hot air balloon ride, an ipod shuffle, a baseball cap and t shirt. They were presented to him by Caroline Fox (left) of Royal Canin, sponsors of the annual Pet Smile Month which raises awareness of dental care in pets and by Anna Chalmers (right), vet at the Avalon Vet Clinic Anna Chalmers said “Fraser’s drawing was excellent- a shark with a gleaming smile. He did really well to win the local competition as there some amazing entries, so to go on and win the national competition was fantastic”
